Default Quality of new Trak Map

This map is a huge improvement over v3 which was very poor. The amount of detail is astonishing for Italian standards, I am really impressed.
Very happy with my new toy.
Something now better, something worse.... I am missing all the bivouacs, visible in version 3... Also hiking pathes/trails lost the good visible colour at the new map.
By the way, if you start to compare different garmin maps at Italy (like TrekMaps, Transalpines) with non garmin products (Garda Lessina XL, free Suedtirol map) you can find big differences in presence of trails and there positions.
It is really not the quality like swiss, french or german maps!

I didn't notice the absence of the bivouacs, that's a major setback indeed.
There is a solution however, the very good Freizeitkarte of Italy contains all bivouacs and since this map is non-NT (and very up-to-date) I can substract all bivouacs and put them in a gpi file. They will show on top of the map as custom POI.
I will do this when I have some time and share the gpi here.

Here is the gpi file containing 472 bivouacs in Italy.
The data comes from the OSM based Freizeitkarte of Italy, created 05-2015.
Put the gpi file in the POI folder inside the Garmin folder of your SD card (or inside your GPS) and they will show on top of the map with a nice 16x16 px bitmap.

I also extracted the following data and converted them to gpx files:

    472 bivouacs
    255 managed Refuges
    1965 unmanaged Refuges
    1828 shelters

Since Trekmap Italia v4 Pro already contains Refuges I didn't put them in the gpi file.

The attachment contains the gpi and all gpx files.

Hi, I think isn't a good idea post your email.

Have you tried the links on the first post? or if you don't know how to unlock the map, maybe you should try the ones on post #17...

I know I have made this work before, but how do I install this to Basecamp? I have used cgpsmapper and it does not install. I am getting a message that the .img file name is incorrect.
