    Thanks,
That does show in the bat file that the new map is indeed in the correct place. I have just edited my previous post and did what I thought was a map install within BaseCamp.
Now on unplugging the unit and loading the maps in Map Info it shows two listings.
    --------------------------------------------------------
CN Australia and new Zealand NT 2016.10-HERE
[1] TAURANGA,NEW ZEALAND,HAMILTON,NEW ZEALAND, RANG....(THEN IT DISAPPEARS FROM THE SCREEN)

CN Aus & NZ NT 2015.20
    [1] ALL
    ---------------------------------------------------
It looks like the new map has installed and the old one is still there.

As my above post !!! As I just selected NZ sections is probably why the sections are detailed and not showing as 'All"
I see I can remove the tick from ALL....would that be ok? Not going to Australia at the moment so would that just leave the NZ section of the folder in use?

Select in Maps list only the map you are using and better to import the whole new map and delete from nuvi the old one.

I reinstalled using Basecamp and selected all regions by highlighting them individually and now when I look at "map info" the new one still lists each section one after the other like I showed in my previous post. I took the tick out of the old map (that showed 'all') but I don't think that has actually deleted it from the unit.
How do you delete the old map? Plenty of space still there so no need I suppose but the old one still shows up in the left panel of BaseCamp under "storage" the new one is not showing.

The 'new' one probably still has the Ms Flag set to '1'. It needs to be '0' for it to be seen properly in BC. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. To remove the old file from your nuvi, connect it to the PC and look for gmapprom.img in Garmin folder. The new map should also be in Garmin folder named gmapsupp.img if you sent it from MapInstall.

Thanks to both you guys for the help i am getting it is so good.
I have just deleted that file you said Neil and did the whole thing again and in BaseCamp/Install map/ I see the new one ok.
I just selected the NZ sections and installed. Now in map info on the Garmin all I now have is the new map with the NZ counties listed.
Will now hop into the car shortly and do a trip around town to see if all's well.
It's been a while since i did all this and the mind needs refreshing. have made up a notepad file with all the details you guys have listed so next time should be
    easier....I hope....
get back here if I have any further problems
    Cheers

    @dteo
Read this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. If you still can't work it out, the easiest for you might be to take the image file from kenta2's post #6.

Is there a way of loading just static speed cameras and not the areas where mobile cameras operate... he continual beeping gets annoying and you end up muting the lot!!
