    Have a 2595LMT that came with North American maps and planning a family trip to France in a few months so I'm getting the GPS set up with European maps. Downloaded the maps from post #5 here and maps work great thanks. Question is whether or not I have the file structure set up correctly for this device. Have set up other devices but never this one.

    I of course have all files in the "Garmin" folder. The 3D map image is in the "Map" sub folder as suggested by another post in this thread, the JCV file in the "JCV" subfolder and the "G2S" file as well in it's own subfolder.

    No ASR files yet available of course but is all setup correctly at this point? Not seeing any junction views or 3D buildings in simulations.

    for files paths look at your garmindevice.xml in Garmin folder
    Example:
    <Name>PreProgrammedLaneAssistPortraitFull</Name>

    -<File>

    -<Specification>

    <Identifier>JCV</Identifier>

    </Specification>

    -<Location>

    <Path>.System/JCV</Path>

    <FileExtension>jcv</FileExtension>

    -<Extensions>

    -<dtlx:DataTypeLocationExtension>

    <dtlx:ExternalPath>Garmin/JCV/</dtlx:ExternalPath>

    </dtlx:DataTypeLocationExtension>

    </Extensions>

    </Location>

    <TransferDirection>InputOutput</TransferDirection>

    </File>

    </DataType>

    -<DataType>

    <Name>MD2</Name>

    -<File>

    -<Specification>

    <Identifier>MD2</Identifier>

    </Specification>

    -<Location>

    <Path>.System/MD2</Path>

    <FileExtension>md2</FileExtension>

    </Location>

    Hmmm, I thought that the 2595 supported 3D buildings but can't find reference to it in the garmindevice.xml. Am I missing something? But wait, there's more!

    Don't need the G2S file either do I.
