I have no idea what has happened between 1 year ago when I tried the same and now why it DOES work; maybe it's due to a firmware upgrade recently.
You are lucky man! No problem with map in total! The most data do not have entry in several language. But users report about many mistakes in particular like failure to search! If navigation is not critical for you there are no problem with this map, but for my clients and me the failure in navigation is waste of money and time...
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

Yes if garmin is still doing bi-annual updates. However the terms of their LifeTime map update subscription only requires 'up to four updates per year' which means legally at least one annually satisfies that requirement. Short answer:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and Garmin is Garmin, so who knows? But rest assured it'll be posted here as soon as it can be.

Hmm my 14xx can find this city and this street using Unicode map. Is there another example I can try?

Which JCV file should I download for 14xx and for 2xxx nuvi? I don't see choices for either one for downloads unless jcv is embedded inside the map files?

My 2360 works fine with split-screen JCV.

May be you try search for next cities in Finland (please use function "search - cities" but not "search - address"):
    Nokia, Kempele, Nopola...
