After installing the 2015.10 map to my Nuvis - 2360 , 1390, 1490, 3490 the CityXplorer maps I had installed on the units no longer provide any usable information on Public Transit. This was the main reason I purchased these particular Nuvis. I find the public transit info very helpful for trip planning, even if a Google Maps does a better job. Those CityXplorer maps got me back to my hotel more than once in strange cities.

It seems that any maps released after Garmin stopped selling the CityXplorers earlier this year kill the ability to use any CityXplorer functions.

I rolled back my main maps to 2014.40 in order to regain CityXplorer functions. I'll keep my 1390 loaded with just the CityXplorers in internal memory as my Public Transit reference for now. I'll have space for a few Topo maps too!

Discussion about DEM map moved to Discussions section for further analysis: it will be useful to consult by other CNs versions users.

nuvi 3x0 series cannot use Unicode maps effectively. For full search functions you must use the 'non-unicode' version: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
