Only with FW version 5.10 and later, nüvi 2x5 units are capable of recognising map files exceeding 2 GB. Apparently the FW version of your unit is older. The latest version is 7.60 of March 2, 2012. Updating the FW of your unit does not affect any (pre)installed maps.

You can use large Full screen JCV or light one with few junction views.

You have to navigate to get to the good.

Can I put the .img file in a micro-sd card while the JCV in the device's System folder?

I put the Full-screen full version JCV file into a JCV folder in a SD card, but for now by using the simulator mode navigating around the map, waiting for the junction view to appear, it doesn't seem to be working. Is there anything that I did wrong and are there any other ways to tell whether the Junction View is working? Thanks!

Not all versions of 1350 support junction view as original. For example, NA/AU etc units don't unless the splash has been modified but many EU versions do have it out of the box. Check that you have a splash of B1340-50 or higher: On main screen 'Where To?/View Map', press and hold the battery symbol in top RH corner for several seconds to enter a hidden menu>Next>Start Test>More. Look for 'Splash' and to right of it 'D1340-xx'. If you have D1340-30 on your 1350 then JCV is not enabled. If it's -50, -80 or -81 then it is. See this post: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] .You can update to D1340-50 if necessary using the tut in that thread.

If you already have JCV enabled and definitely have the correct jcv file for this map properly placed in sd:/Garmin/JCV folder or in unit:/.System/JCV folder, it maybe that you're not looking in the right place for the views. Try a simulated route from any major NA city to another one [e.g. LA to SF; NYC to Buffalo] which will take you along major roads and scroll thru the route: Press directional arrow/s in upper LH corner>Press down arrow until the words 'Junction View' at base of screen are bright then press those words and you'll see the view.

Yes, my device does support Junction View.

So, it worked when I put the JCV file in the System's JCV folder but it didn't work when it is in a microSD card, no matter where it is in the microSD card, even the JCV folder.

I have to put the JCV file in a microSD card because there are other maps and JCV files which are using all the space of the internal storage, so what I was planning is to put the North America maps and the JCV file together in the SD card, the map works but not the JCV.

Please advise me what to do! Thanks!

Check that you make a folder on the SD card Named /Garmin/JCV and not /Garmin/JVC (A lot of us have made this mistake before.)
