What are you seeing, the installed map data on your computer or the img file on the device in BaseCamp? If BC is seeing the img on the device, have you correctly named and placed and unlocked the img file so that it can be used on the particular device? BaseCamp can see locked img files with 'anyname', eg TrakMapstopoQuebecV4.img [but your device may be only able to see it as gmapsupp.img in a Garmin folder.]

We can't be anymore psychic . If you've still got a problem after checking the above when you post again give device model and full info on what you've done please.

Got it to work perfectly under windows 8 in both BaseCamp and MapSource.

    1. Do you know if there is a way to get this working in BaseCamp on Mac ?

    2. Also, what would be the way to get the map onto my 64ST SD ? Do I just drag and drop all the IMGs in a separate folder ?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

EDIT: Got everything working under Mac also. Very easy to do actually. Simply used MapConverter from Garmin to convert the unlocked TrakMaps after it's been unlocked and voila! Genius.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

I got the map fully working in MapSource but when I transfer on my SD card it says the gps can't unlock maps.

Do I need the hacked version of MapSource for it to work ? Because I tried with BaseCamp and got the same result .. help !

My gps is GPSMAP 64S !

    Thanks for any advice !

Unlock the *.img map file with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and you should be fine.

I downloaded the 3.8gig file... worked well... and i unlocked it as per the instructions. As other users said, the unlocking procedure took a fraction of a second. It says it is unlocked and i can view it in basecamp. However when i send part of the map to my Garmin 64ST, upon boot up it says it cannot unlock the file. I have unlocked other maps including city navigator 2014 and 2017 and sent to my device. They both work. Is there something else I need to do in order to get the maps to work on my Garmin?
