DEM doesn't need to be changed barring earthquakes and nuclear explosions vapourising islands or levelling mountains. Which simply means you can effectively use a DEM made yonks ago.

If your old version 3D map isn't locked but isn't showing big-city 3d buildings with the new map then it needs to be updated. Again local knowledge is needed as i'm unable to test.

    download 1410_type1918312 - 418.84 MB (nuvi 2xxx)

unlock JCV works well 2595 US set, ASR (48.0 MB) can't work. Now use back ASR(us) and partial work only.

Has anyone managed to get voice command to work with SG maps on a US 2595? I tried the combinations but does not work.

The 2XXX ASR files works for the 3760 US mod version.

Could you perserve a little longer? Please test the larger 63.2MB ASR files which as i guessed [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] might be that they're ASR'2' and therefore suitable for US/EU 2xx5 & 3xx5etc. The US files won't work Voice Command properly with an Asian map. You also need the correct language SRD file teamed with the correct TTS voice file.

tested with the 63.2MB ASR files also can not work.

When using US ASR files, voice command can be worked with SG map but not all command.
Voice command can be worked: View Map, Recently Found, Go Home, Saved Placed, Phone, Volume, Brightness, Up, Down.

All those Find function not working it will show message
"This feature is not available for Singapore in American English"

at least when using US ASR, still can do some simple voice command.

do u know where can download Singapore English or English for SG files? if i can get Sg English will try again.

Try a british english TTS voice file. Use WebUpdater or GarminExpress if there's none on your unit. Teamed with the correct SG ASR files that may work.
