Which type of maps to download for use with the older nuvi 205W - I'm guessing the non-unicode version but not sure. I'd like a map for UK & Ireland, don't really need all of Europe. Many thanks!

Yes, use this version. The unicode version won't work properly in your 205W. The separate Ireland and UK only images from bam-bam's Post #6 will do fine for you as you don't need any other files such as JCV. With latest firmware you can even put both in a Garmin folder on an SD card named gmapsupp.img and gmapsup1.img if you like.

Hi Neil, many thanks for your reply. I've downloaded CN Europe NT 2014.40 United Kingdom from post #6 as you suggested so hoping that will work. I probably need to update the firmware too as my nuvi 205w is a few years old, just need to figure out how to do that though . Thanks again.

Thanks for that Raiyu. I've already downloaded the 2014.40 version before seeing your post so will probably try that first, if it's not working properly on my old nuvi 205w then I shall look for the 2014.10 version of the map. Thanks again for your reply.
