Yes, everything is named correctly with "gmapsupp.img" in "Garmin folder under root of SD card, and on an 2GB fat32 usb stick for use in basecamp.

the unlocked image itself was downloaded in post 4, the gmap folder was downloaded in post 14.

Ran the gimgunlock on the unlocked image itself, which just most "skip" output, which is already unlocked, still not showing in gps or in basecamp.

I have downloaded the image couple times from post 4, just not showing in both cases.

Run the tool kit, the info page shows just fine, with "Mapset" "Heder", a list of maps, data mps, then end.

I am downloading the Original Image in post 2, see if anything changes.

If fw on the nuvi is not up to date, and it is not showing, then I can understand. But for the basecamp, it is another story.

Basecamp can show locked maps too, so something is wrong.
Enable extension in Windows and check if it's not gmappsup.img.img

    Problem resolved!

All right, the unlocked img in the post 4 is corrupted, someone mod post please. It took me 3 hours to download the original img, since it is not zippyshare.

Everything is now working from the img in post 2

    Thank you, Neil !

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I've removed the image link from post #4 for the time being. It seems the file has been removed from Byte-Share since you got it anyway. Bam-bam can reup it if he wants.

Seeing you had the gmap folder there was no need for you to also download an unlocked image file. You could have just used the unlocked gmap folder to make your own image much quicker than doing a dl of the image. Main thing is that you're sorted. If you're coming downunder, enjoy your trip mate.

Mine has been working very well even when combined with an earlier City Xplorer map (more detail).

Even tho the Sensis issued one have better services details and a wider coverage.

What goes with the editor on this forum, there is no more formatting working again!!

What are you using, your nuvi 50 and/or eTrex? Or have you got something else now that will support EPM? Because if you're using the 50 or the eTrex, neither is capable of using the EPM features of CX maps, only the CN part. In other words, the city map will show no more and do no more than a normal CN when the unit is in pedestrian setting. In fact, having the earier version of the CX, say [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] teamed with this 2014.40 CN could result in conflicts if both are selected. And selecting only the CX will give no real benefit in a 50 or eTrex.

Maybe I missed something and I hate to ask (sounds so pushy).
But 2 1/2 months later still no ASR files for 3790?

Nah! Not at all. Pushy would be 'Where the !@#$ are the ASR files for 3790? Gimme, gimme!'

I can probably get them for you Tom if you really want them urgently for this map, but [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is just around the corner i think. Let me know if you can't wait Mate.

If 2014.40 is around the corner, it makes no sense anymore, thanks for the offer.
I really appreciate these pre-releases, however, sometimes it looks like that the threads are easy "forgotten" to update if they are officially released

Fair comment. I don't use my 3790 [as a 3790] anymore and my 2460 is converted to dezl 560 so i tend to forget about ASR'1' files. I'll try to remember to get them if possible and upload them in future but i won't mind at all if you give me a 'tap', even a pushy one Tom.
