    boat HUS999I - US Marine Detail Map g2 Update Card v2013.5 (v15.00)

    HUS999I - US Marine Detail Map g2 Update Card v2013.5 (v15.00)
    Part Number: 010-10800-72 (MicroSD/SD), 010-D0616-00 (Download)

    Overview
This preprogrammed update card for your chartplotter gives you detailed electronic nautical charts that provide a smooth data transition between zoom levels. Data includes navaids, port plans, depth contours, fishing contours, spot soundings and more. Sharp, colorful graphics let you see every cartographic contour and feature, with a minimum of panning and zooming to bring the chart data into focus.

This package contains map data and a software update for your device. You must perform the software update on your device before this map will work. The card must remain in the device to view updated maps.
    • Provides basic chart navigation with 2-D or 3-D Over the Bow View map perspective.
    • Includes tides, currents, marine points of interest (POIs) and IALA symbols.
    • Displays port plans, fishing contours and standardized depth contours.

    Requirements
To update maps using this update card:
    1. Press the Power key to turn on the device. Do not turn off the device during the update process.
    2. After the Home screen appears, insert the card into the device. The Data Card screen appears.
    3. If software does not support reading the built-in map update from the card, the following message will appear: "Map Format Is Not Supported."
    4. Acknowledge this message.
    5. Select "Update Software" to update the devices software. The update process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The device will now recognize the new map format.

This is great and I appreciate it... but can anyone provide it as the "Locked" file using Zippyshare?

Well... I've downloaded, un-RAR'd it, and then unlocked it using gimgunlock.

I then put the image on my 76CSx and it does not show at all. I tried the entire process twice thinking maybe something got corrupted in the process, but it still would not show up. The map menu only shows the basemap as a selection, so the charts are not even being recognized on the 76CSx.

I double checked to make sure the chart image is named gmapsupp.img and it's the only img on the card.

But when I plugged in my 76CSx to my PC with the USB plug and started HomePort, the chart DID show up in HomePort after reading the info off the card.

So... is this particular chart update not compatible with the 76CSx for some reason ? This is a regular g2 chart and not a vision chart, so it SHOULD work.

    Any ideas ? Thanks

your 76CSx is not in the list.
This chart is an update ,probably, of an existing preloaded map in these plotters and some marine compatible devices.
    Additionally:

    Thank catymag.

I knew the 76CSx was not on the list, but since it was a gmapsupp.img, I figured it would work.

I guess I was wrong. But it's frustrating that it will show up thru HomePort but not on the 76CSx.

I would bet there is a way to make it compatible since the charts a just a compiled bunch of tiles like all the other charts.

Unfortunately... figuring out how to make it compatible is way beyond my capabilities.

Maybe someone who has the ability wants to take a stab at it? It's a challange that maybe someone wants.

I would really like to have the latest chart update for my 76CSx and since there is no HXUS039R v2013.5 (v15.00) on the forum yet, I was hoping this would be it.

Sure but we should take a look at sw too, like Giomen requested in his post above.
