hy, one of my very close project is to hike in the albanian dinaric alps. A bit tough to find good maps. Up to now I've studied only 3 :
    - albania OSM routable, good for medium to some small trails, but no contour lines.
    - Europe Adria Top, good details colors and contour lines. The best, but a few trails.
    - Europe East OFM 2014 not so good than the previous one.

Thus my question is : does another Garmin GPS map exist other than Google Earth ?

    ------------------------------------------------------------
these map uploaded today in my FileFactory (except the Europe East which weights 3.5 go)

There is another free Garmin map of Albania available at Bunker Trails, it contains a lot of trails (more than any other map you mention) but I don't know if they are still present and usable.

You have to navigate to get to the good.

    good stuff,
fine contour lines and trails, neither POI nor other details but the important is there. Sorry I 've done the research before on the forum but not found out the topic.

Russian paper maps which are digitalized are difficult to read and a little out of date and no very accurate concerning the mountains.

Sure you can, with Mapsource you can create a mapset (gmapsupp.img) and send it to your GPS or harddisk (if you use a patched version of Mapsource).

I have only BaseCamp, tried to install with it, no way. But, don't ask me how and what I've done with MapTool (first time I used it) I've joined all the maps and created something which can be read on my Oregon and with Basecamp too. As soon as the upload is over, I'll give the link of it. Gracias 4 your help.

You can use Mapsource and Basecamp side by side.
Mapsource will detect all your installed maps and although it's old and simple I still like it and use it every day.
