@2juan23
Looks as if in the Western Europe image, the data for Edinburgh is missing.
Is this possible, or do I have a problem with my installation.
I use the IMG with a Garmin Mobile PC (GMPC 5.00.70g) installation.
Thanks for any comment and thanks for the image sets.

Is this possible ....
If one or more tiles was inadvertently skipped when the img was complied then it's entirely possible. Open your .img file with GMAPTool, press Details or Info tab and then search [F3] in log for EDINBURGH to see if it's present.

1) You can use any of the 480*270 JCV files. If you use the split-screen files, the images will appear stretched and a bit washed out.
2) It's neither of those. G2S files are 'GarminAdjacencytoSSID' files for recent units which have NüRoute technology. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Neil, for this map only 480*270 JCVs are available. One is a small, and one a big - I did not see any difference rather big file have a little more JC!
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
I see your point G, and you are correct. But my reply was a generic one in the sense of using the other files in a 765 or a 1xxx series etc in a wider context. He did ask about resolution after all.
PS: The desciption of the big and small files in post #1 as 'hi res' and 'low res' would prompted him to use similar wording of course:
They are of course both 480*270 and the only difference is in the number of views, not in the resolution of the view images.
