    Hi
Hope some body can assist with my problem ,
I have Tried UK & Ire and also Full Euro ...2014.20 NTU maps on my Nuvi 42lm,
Both work fine ,however I cannot get the PR JCV to work ,have tried numerous jcv files but no success.

any ideas / solutions would be welcome..
    Thanks

    In addition to above !

I presume that the Photoreal works on this model !!
I do not have the 3d or DEM img loaded , would these be required ?

    Still a novice
    Thanks

The only one which will work is D3589090A.JCV suggested by Roger. x0/x2/x4 use the same jvc which is a different encryption to the jcv files used by other US/EU fw units..

No. Your 42 cannot use either.

Sorry...but you can explain the procedure you use to say that do not work?

If you have a LM, the correct JCV will installed in your nav by default with GE or GMU.

Try in simulation GPS and route London==> Manchester...and post here the screenshot, please

    Bye,bye

    Hi ,
I tried in simulation mode ,using a route on M6 that shows the PR on my 3790 ........
I bought this 42LM on Ebay , when i go to GE I am told my maps are upto date !! BUT when using Garmin mapup dater it tells me that " A Numap Lifetime update is available , when i continue it says that the garmin site is experiencing difficulties

I have tried D3589090A.JCV with both NTU 2014.20 UK & ire and also with NTU 2014.20 Full Europe but no Photoreal .......
i can post screenshots from London to Manchester ( a lot of junctions .........Any particular one what you want to see /

    Thanks for your assistance

Have you removed any previous JCV files from the folder? Earlier files will interfere with the operation of the correct one teamed with the current map. Or are you saying that you expect to see the classy photoreal pics like your 3790 shows. The 42 junction views do look a little different.

Are you using the latest version of GE? Uninstall it and re-install after removing your device first. Your 42LM should be offered the 2014.20 EUU since 29th Sept.

    Hi
Just re-read your last reply and you said "Your 42LM should be offered the 2014.20 EUU since 29th Sept"

    What is 2014.20EUU ??
Just checked the IMG file & its exactly the same as the one on my 3790 .....CN Europe NTU 2014.20 ...is this the wrong IMG for the 42LM

    Thanks

    2014.20EUU is CNEU NTU (Unicode)
Map is the same for Nuvi 3xxx and 42
but Nuvi 42 uses a different .JCV file than 3xxx, this one
    D3589090A.JCV
    006-D3589-09
    picture size 212*234
It can be not all the pictures present in 3xxx series JCV are present in 42 JCV.
