    @woodbill

    CXNA 2014.1 Works perfectly in Boston. Walking, Trains, Busses, other public transportatrion.

    On a 2595 there are pedestrian mode setup options which allow you a lot of choices as to what forms of transportation to allow.

    You can also use the Small version of CXNA. This is for use ONLY if you already have City Navigatoe North American 2014.10 maps installed. The small CXNA version contains only the MMR's and no tile IMG files for the various cities as you already have the identical map tiles from your installed City Navigator 2014.10 maps.

    @tiger555
    I'm pretty sure that woodbill knows there are options for selecting/deselecting transit types in his 1350, and in any case he pointed out that he was offered the Metro in Paris using the full CXEU. More likely that he has a map problem of some sort with his dl of CXNA.

    There are only 3 transit types in 1xxx. Bus, Train & Underground:

    qyn 8blr

    That's the same in 37x0. Whereas on your 2595 and all 24/25x5 & 3590/34x0 series there are also Tram & Trolley:

    yi2b

    Which brings up an interesting point. Do the 1xxx/37x0 ignore tram & trolley bus options or i suppose they just lump them in with bus/train? I've never noticed.

    Sorry.

    I've done this, but for Canada, there are only three provinces; Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. Are there more? How can I access them. Map say Full CXNA 2013.10.IMG

    In this 2014.10 release Vancouver is missing because Garmin didn't yet update it at the moment kenta2 posted this thread.
    CityXplorer maps are just cities maps, cities tiles are CNNAM tiles with pedestrian navigation feature and public transports (EPM)added.
    Read tutorial linked in post n1 as Neil wisely wrote above

    I noticed it and I made some tests, sometimes CX just lump them in with bus/train like you wrote-
    Additionaly CX offer depends also on what you selected as Limit Walking option. For example if you set it to No Walking ,it will offer just the nearest public transport. I've tram and underground where I live , but it offers just tram because it's nearer.

    Default Refresh my memory

    It's been a few years since I messed around with my nuvi 1300. Please refresh my memory. Mine is the lifetime map edition. I updated it to enable the extra features back then, which took me some effort to accomplish. I am vague on memory, but I believe my software (firmware?) is unlocked (is that possible or is it only the maps that can be unlocked?) If so, do I still have to unlock the maps or will they work as is? Also, it seems to me that the map threads from which I downloaded several years ago had additional links to versions already unlocked by one or another person on this sight, thus sparing the rest of us of the need to go through the steps ourselves. I run linux and can't run any of the software myself. Furthermore, I am technically overwhelmed by all the instructions. For those who are blessed with a good understanding of the electronic systems and software in use here, you are lucky and confident. I, unfortunately, am not so blessed and it would take me several months of concerted effort just to figure out the in's and out's of following your instructions. It took me all day just to figure out that I have to use the "LIKE" button in order to reveal hidden information. I've looked at the tutorials today and have trouble understanding them. So, can someone please unlock the maps and post links and then a step by step on how to load them. I know how to download (although, for some reason, even that seems quite protracted). I can open and extract .rar files. I can plug my 1300 into my laptop's usb port and look at the internal memory. I can remove the microsd card and insert it into my laptop's microsd card slot. From there, I need to know which files already in my system and microsd card are to be replaced and how to determine if the files I have are already up-to-date (apparently, new updates can still use some older files). I need to know what directories and files therein should be deleted. This will be true not only for the city explorer maps, but also the city navigator maps. Thx for any help.

    Hopefully I am placing this request in the proper thread.

    I sure could use the most current cityXplorer™ Chicago, please. I am using CN North America NT 2014.20 so if I understand the current data/info posted by Catymag, the Chicago version discussed in this thread is for an older version of CN North America: NT 2014.10 and I gather the Chicago cityXplorer isn't functional with my verion of CN North America? Thanks for everyone's help.

    @axxxtw
    Post #1 gives the choice of 2 CXs to download, Full CX [standalone, including required CNNT map data] and Small CX [MMR only, no CNNT map data so it relies on the CNNT 2014.10 map also being on the device and selected]:
    FullCXNA-2014.10 (FID 800) Standalone version
    ***Hidden content cannot be quoted.***

    SmallCXNA-2014.10 To use this file you must have CNNA NT 2014.10 in your nuvi
    ***Hidden content cannot be quoted.***
    Have a read of Post 8 as well to further explain, but in a nutshell: if you use the small CX 2014.10, you should team it only with CN 2014.10; if you use the full CX 2014.10 you must deselect your CN if it's any version other than 2014.10.
