Put the unlocked image file in the GarminMobilePC folder observing the correct naming conventions: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

man. all these map differences and file requirements are starting to give me stress. haha. It's as bad as the whole apple product and jailbreak has gotten. all the must knows and limitations for each model and variants within, iOS, baseband etc..

Im using the garmin 1450 and have several JCV files in the JCV folder:
    D3153040A.JCV
    D3153100A.JCV
    D3178000A.JCV

Are all 3 needed, or are there some duplicates from another machine that shouldn't be there since I remember I tried to add in enhanced junction files from a better machine

D3153100A.JCV is the right one: it's "lite" JCV update file for CNNAM 2014.10
D3153040A.JCV is CNNAM 2012.30 version, you can delete it.
D3178000A.JCV is CNNAM 2012.10 version, you can delete it.

TY! I think I might be able to fit the new map onto the gps if I delete those 2

how come garmin doesn't erase previous jvc files that aren't needed?

Normally old files are deleted when you update normally thru Garmin, but the answer is probably because you added duplicates from elsewhere as stated in your earlier post:

You need WinRAR 5.00 to extract the file. Older version won't work.
