I had this problem with my Oregon 450, when I made a stripped down set of National Parks maps for myself.
GMapTool’s Details button showed that the National Parks map and the 1:50k map both had a draw priority of 20.
Using the Write tab, I altered this to 25 on the National Parks map. Problem solved!
NB this didn't work with the file in-situ on the Oregon - I had to do it on the PC and reload onto Oregon.
    Dales.

    Thanks dales!
I thought about this solution but didn't have time to test it yet.
On the Oregon 600 and 62s the switch between 50k and 25k is made automatically at a certain zoom level (based on map-detail) with the same draw priority (20) for all maps.

Makes sense, doesn't work on the Oregon 550T either. But in both the 300 and 550T the 1:50k is listed higher up in the list of maps.

Ok, just changed parks+trails to priority 21 with Gmaptool, all looking good!

But only worked by deleting maps from card and re-copying them with the changed priority, when I used Gmaptool directly on the files, on the card, no difference, even though Gmaptool showed priority has changed, don't know what was going on there.

    Thanks everyone.

    Thanks everyone.
On my Montana I also had to change draw priority, works well now.
But I have to use the old (v2, FID=2043) version of the GB Discovery, couldn't make it work at all with the v3 (FD=2544) version.
    Any reason for that?

FID=2544 works fine in my Oregon 450.
First I had to unlock the largest img file with gimgunlock before loading the folder into Mapsource.
Then in Mapsource I transferred the mapset to my C drive.
I had to unlock the resultant img file once again with gimgunlock, before the Oregon would accept it.

    Dales.

Open part1 in Winrar or Winzip and extract the img to the Garmin folder on your SD card. It's easy
