    Thank you.
    1) TYP file is part of the map, I exctracted it for Cnfhbr who needed just that file.
    2) SQL is a database for Active routing ,it shows you individual route suggestions for recreational activity and provides more specific functions in the planning activity in Basecamp and 1n some GPS devices.
    copy in :outdoor GPS/SD/Garmin/SQL/

    Is Topo France Sud / Est v3 the same as the SE part of TOPO France Entire Country v3 Pro, or does it contain more detail and/or additional information?

    In other words: Did they simply take the SE part of TOPO France Entire Country v3 Pro and publish it separately, or did they add something extra?

    No DOM TOM in the whole France topo map (Réunion, Guyane, Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélémy, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon)
    These are covered in TOPO France v3 DOM-TOM Pro:

    This thread confused me a little bit.
    Yesterday I download a gmapsupp.img announced as Topo France v3 Pro Sud-Est (mapID 2557). Today I downloaded the Topo France v3 Pro Entire Country (mapID 2554). Both maps are the same. Analyzing this thread (and both img with Gmaptool) gives me the answere.
    Downloading the right Sud-Est version from post #5 (ozboss) gives me a sql-database named 010-D1198-00.db. This is the sql-database for the version Entire country. Sud-Est has a Garmin-code that is 010-D1192-00, so I expected a database like 010-D1192-00.db in the sql-map.
    So the the sql-database for the entire topomap is also usable for the region-maps ? Vice-versa don't work I think.
    Is there anyone who has more information about this question ?

    Quick question: How different is this one to the v2? Just other GIS provider or really new data?

    The SQL files for Topo France v3 Pro Sud-Est (mapID 2557) and for Topo France v3 Pro Entire Country (mapID 2554) are identical (same name and data). I guess they just produced a new, smaller IMG file for Topo France v3 Pro Sud-Est (mapID 2557) from Topo France v3 Pro Entire Country (mapID 2554) and did not bother to create a new, smaller SQL file for Topo France v3 Pro Sud-Est.

    Quoted from an expert user (thanks Marc):
    •IGN data is much more recent and shows many differences with the old map.
    •As far as I can see all missing GR trails, especially in the South-West (GR8 and GR65), are present now. V2 had many 'gaps' in the trails, they seem to be complete now.
    •Mountain huts and refuges are also present now (totally missing in v2).
    •Forests and scrub are defined more precise.

    Where do you get the smaller SQL files for areas (e.g. 010-D1192-00.db for Topo France v3 Sud-Est)?
    Google could not find them. Does anybody have them, or can they be downloaded somewhere?
    I guess searches could be faster with the smaller files.

    @pietu:
    Did you generate the smaller SQL files yourself, or are are they available somewhere for download?
    How did you do it if you did it yourself?

    @jensb:
    pietu had not yet updated his post (i.e., there were no file links) when I wrote mine.
