    Hello Forum moderators

sorry to say but I am a full rookie and to be ownest I am getting confused of all the different options of unlocking a map on the different units.
I have a chartplotter 440SX. So I am willing to learn and read, but under all the tutorials I have not found what has to be the contend on an SD card for a GPSMAP 400 series.
I apresciate this forum and thank you for the help in advance.

So after I have downloaded the img Files. Locked & as well the unlocked files I copied them to my SD card under the folder name Garmin.

I compared it with another files and saw it was missing the MapID:
So I created one by remaming it. Is that wrong ?

You are seeing two images. One from the unlock rar.

The other was from the locked rar which I drag & drop through gimgunlock.

My 440SX won´t see the map on the sd card.

Roger1109 thank you for the advice. If the filename is "gmapsupp.img" the unlocking works With the old file name HEU718L.img it does not unlock in the gimgunlock.
Can I rename the filesname after the unlock process?

    Thank you.

Gimgunlock never fails with almost every kind of .img, but your device doesnt recognize the .img if you give it another name or if you place it in wrong place.
Img naming depends on device and on where you copy it.
