    from this link you can download a test map;

So basically on the unlocked map I can't see the named trails at all (on the test map it works just fine). What am I doing wrong? Do I need to change the name of the DB file?
With the test map (Transalpin 2012 Pro Testversion) IMG in the \Garmin folder and its associated .db file in the \Garmin\SQL folder BaseCamp 3.3.3 gives me the option to search for 'Named Trails' (and finds a good number near Mittenwald, Germany).
With the Transalpin 2012 Pro IMG from catymag's post #2 (unlocked with gimgunlock) and the associated .db file in the same configuration BaseCamp does NOT give me the option to search for 'Named Trails' (and therefore finds none near Mittenwald, Germany).
Has anybody figured out what is going on?
Would an original (i.e., official) Mapsource version of TransAlpin 2012 Pro solve the problem?
If so, how can we get one?

    Hi,
It’s exactly the same for me : no “named trails” in Basecamp with .img version installed with .db file on a SD card. However, the same SD card put into my Montana allows search trail (Where to go/Trails).
I have the same problem with Topo Deutchland Pro V3 : only the mapsource version displays “named trails” in Basecamp (and on my Montana).

hi, i have the same problem. I've putting db file in [sd]garmin\sql folder and the *.img file to [sd]garmin. In Basecamp 3.3 and Basecamp 4 I don't have the option searching for Trails with Transalp 2012 and Topo Deutschland 2012.
Only in the mapsource (.gmap) version of topo Deutschland 2012 i have the option.
And the new topo Austria v3 img version, i have the option for trailsearch!!!
On the device garmin oregon x50, trailsearch is allways running!

Is this getting even more mysterious?
Do you really have the option to search for 'Named Trails' with the new topo Austria v3 IMG version in BaseCamp?
If so, in what version of BaseCamp (and with what version of Windows)?
I am using BaseCamp 3.3.3 on Windows XP SP3 32-bit, and I do NOT have the option to search for 'Named Trails' with the new topo Austria v3 IMG version (downloaded from the Zippyshare links in catymag's post #1).

Note to admins: Please let us discuss this here (in this thread, despite the fact that this 'Named Trails' search problem occurs with several of the new topo maps). This way it is easier to follow the discussion. Maybe we can find out what is going on.

Just a thought: on the German Garmin website requirements for ActiveRouting mention the installation of Microsoft .NET framework v4. Maybe you should check if you've got it installed on your system.

Systemvoraussetzung für aktuelle BaseCamp Version: PC Nutzer benötigen Windows Media Player 11 sowie das .NET Framework4 von Microsoft

Even more confusing (Win7, 32 Bit, patched BC 3.3.3, images in virtual disk):

Unlocked Topo Austria v3 doesn't show 'Trails', but locked image does!?

And more: the unlocked image creates files named 'cc7bfe36.*' in Basecamp's local 'CardProductCache', but the files of the locked image are named 'f36fdad4.*'. Any ideas?

From which message did you get your unlocked Austria v3 image with working trailsearch: #1, #3 or what else?

There are some tiny differences in the infos of some Austria v3 images:

locked image from #1 with working trail search

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
locked image from #3 (trail search is not working)

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
unlocked image from #3 (trail search is not working)

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
Only the first and working image has a header information concerning the sql database. What does this mean?

    Same map unlocked with Gimgunlock

It doesnt modify the .img , header infos are the same, probably the other one was unlocked with FIU or Unlocker alternative containing old GMT.exe version and log of locked one is from old Gmaptool version.

Edit : I will move soon this discussion in Topo Austria map thread coz here is off topic
