    I just downloaded the .rar file. I am using a mac. How do I open the file or transfer it to my marine garmin.

    I have downloaded the file. I also downloaded the gimgunlock and unzip the .exe file. What will i do next?

    i am really new in this, a reply would be very much appreciated.

    You don't extract gimgunlock.exe.

    From Post #1 of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 'to unlock, simply drag the image file over the icon of gimgunlock.exe, the dragged file will become unlocked. That's all. You can also run it in a command prompt window or batch file by supplying the pathname of the image file as the only argument'.

    Place the unlocked image named gmapsupp.img in a root folder named Garmin on your sd card. Have a read of the Tips in the link in catymag's post above yours too if you need more info.

    Thanks for the info Neil. Can i load it directly to my GPS unit without an SD Card or will i have to purchase a SD Card and place the unlock image on it?
