Since all GBDiscoverer maps are rastermaps you'll have to buy a modern GPS if you want to make use of them.
Oh Dear... only just bought it second hand.
What vector maps are available with the OS type of mapping? I will be using it for green laneing on my motor bike.

OS only makes raster maps, there are no good GB Topo (vector) maps made by Garmin. The last and only one was Great Britain Topo v2 but that map was very bad and is from 2007.
There are good alternatives however, for your motor bike I would suggest to use City Navigator and good Topo maps are based on the Openstreetmap project.
The best Topo map available in my opinion is the German Freizeitkarte, it's free and gets updated every 2 months.

You can download the map of Great Britain or the entire region of GB and Ireland.

    I think it will work on your 64 but since I don't own a 64 I can't be 100% sure.
Just try it and share your experience with us.

The built-in Windows tool will not format large cards in FAT32, but it's no problem to reformat SDXC cards of 64GB and over from exFAT to FAT32 using 3rd party software or with a command line. You may prefer this tool using the GUI version:

Anyway, there's little point in using a card larger than 16GB in most units because of either total mapping segment [map tile] limits or limits of the number of maps themselves. In your 64 that's about 3000 segments and 500 custom map tiles [which i think includes raster tiles].

I've got GB Discoverer (unlocked img file) on my Nuvi. It was showing in Base Camp and I do believe I remember it displaying fine on the Nuvi. Now when i select it in the map page on the Nuvi and deselect all other maps it is still only displaying the base map. I've deleted the GB Discoverer from the Nuvi and transferred it to the Nuvi's SD card. It is still visible in BaseCamp can still be selected as a map on the Nuvi but won't display.

I've done a factory reset on the Nuvi - didn't help. I did do a map install/update of the NTU2015/40 could this have blocked the GB Discoverer from displaying?

    Thanks.

Nuvi 3590+ 16GB SD card latest software installed.

GB Discoverer series are predominantly composed of Raster format mapping data. They have routable roads which i think are Vector mapping and if so that format can be seen by your nuvi 3590 but it cannot use the Raster mapping, perhaps it was the roads you recall seeing previously. Only one nuvi can use Raster mapping and that's the discontinued [and imo much undervalued] nuvi 5x0. Check the compatibility tab here:
