    Hi Catymag,
In the past I got successfully Topo Swiss V2 that is currently working in my PC and GPS.
Now I followed your procedure to get Topo Swiss V3 and I obtained two files: one is a Readme.txt and the other is TopoSwissV3.img.
But I don't see any of files like PRODUCT.MDX,I0000573.TYP,MDRMAP.IMG,BASEMAP.IMG and PRODUCT.TDB that I referred to in the Registry Keys for the previous version Topo Swiss V2.
So I don't know the way to give the new map to BaseCamp or MapSource on my PC.
Could you explain to me what I have to do now?
    Thanks in advance

An .img is to copy directly in gps, it's not a Mapsource version. To have it in Basecamp read post n16.
Please read all the thread before posting .

Since Mapsource is discontinued by Garmin we probably will see all future Topo maps to be in img format, both vector- and raster maps.

I understand that only the vector map has routing functionalities.
Is it possible to install both maps on 1 SD and to use the raster map to display on your screen, and use the routing fuctionality of the vector map?

Original are both maps together on one SD and of course you can activate both maps to see the raster map and navigate with vector map. But you must know, that both maps have many data so that your device has hard to work. Pan & zoom can take a while and with quick movement map display will drag behind.

Thank you for your answer catymag.
Then I experienced this method works. But the map is declared unprintable at the start and I am not able to draw any path or track on this map ( the involved buttons are grey and not enabled).
Anyway I am surprised that Garmin changed the Maps install procedure from the former wich used a Registry setting for the map to the latter that use an externa SD or a virtual device.
    Regards

If you klick on "MyCollection" on the top left you also can make waypoints, tracks and routes - it doesn't depend on the map.

Thank to you, too p!xeldealer. You are right! Do you also have any bit of advice to bypass the printing ban?

I go into fullscreen mode, make a screenshot and insert it in Photoshop.

Thank you p!xeldealer. It's the only way I see....
I regret the previous version like Topo Swiss v2 with the usual interface with the PC (Registry settings) and with the user and I don't understand why Garmin changed it.
Anyway thank you for your courtesy
