    This is an IMG created from the 4 MapSource parts of Friluftskartan Pro v2. Some of the map tiles are redundant since they occur overlapping in two neighboring regions.
    All map details comes from genuine MapSource versions with intact search index. No data is reverse engineered from gMapTool & cGPSmapper or concatenated from separate IMG files.

    Default Prime version

    Does anyone has experience with the friluftskarten Prime? They say that includes 1:10'000 map details.

    I downloaded the 5 files, unRAR'ed them and unlocked the img file with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The resulting img file appears not to be routable in a sense that a destination address can be entered. When trying to tell my nüvi 200 or 765T or 1490T where to go, it asks to spell State/Province (it does not ask for Country). Whatever is entered (even blank), the result is No Matches Found.

    The map is not routable but places can be searched which is handy when trying to center the map over some remote places when viewing in MapSorce.

    Thanks for that explanation, Smulan. I wonder what's the use to state that all map details come from genuine MapSource versions with intact search index, while the supplied img file has no address search capability.

    In addition to my post #4... there was no need to use Garmin Unlocker Alternative v6.05. The supplied img file is already unlocked (makes no difference to the address search capability though).

    Also genuine MapSource versions of Topo maps have mostly no address search index. Topo maps are not made for house to house routing, there for you can use City Navigator maps. Topo maps are made for outdoor activities, like walking, biking, geocaching etc.

    As p!xeldealer says above topo maps are not for door-to-door navigation but the search funtionality can be quite useful. Not very much when using the gps but when trying to find where small farms, lakes or other places are situated and using Mapsource it is handy. This is almost impossible to find even if you have some idea where to serch since details disappear quickly when zooming out in Mapsource.
    The search functionality seems to be preserved even when using a map that has been "reverse engineered" from gmapsupp.img to Mapsource as the FriPro v2 Götaland is.

    @smokefree

    There is an intact search index for all capabilities that is included in Friluftskartan Pro v2. Look at the features description in post #1.

    Here's how it looks in MapSource for Friluftskartan Pro v2 - Svealand. First search button enabled as it should be. That's NOT the case in GMapTool & cGPSmapper reversed engineering installations. Also inspect that there's NO address to search for, just cities or features.
    The full map in this thread is created by using all map tiles from all 4 genuine MapSource products of Friluftskartan Pro v2. Thereby the search index is intact for all 4 regions as it should be.

    TOPO maps are traditionally without routing and address search. Since they don't have routing they are in OF / non-NT format.
    Some of the newer TOPO maps seems to make a hybrid between a road map and a TOPO map. Maps with routing makes them candidates for using NT format.
