    Hi catymag! Thanks for your answer! I've already done it twice or three times but it didn't install the 5.01 version on my NUVI 1440. It says that "NO UPDATE ARE AVAILABLE"...
    Is possible to preceede in another way?
    Thanks and a big hug!

    @valgriff
    Not a lot of difference between 5.00 & 5.01 anyway. Neither does WebUpdater offer me 5.01 for my 3790 which has 5.00 loaded. If you really don't have it already and you definitely do want it, just download it from this thread, make sure that you [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in windows and place it in your nuvi's .system folder named as gmapbmap.img only.

    Open gmapbmap.img from your device using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Press Info or Details, look in the line 'Header' for number after 'V'.

    For devices which cannot use DEM from the basemap, or you want to replace your old regional [Pacific, Atlantic or Americas] Auto Routing one with a World basemap, or if you just want to same space on your unit and do without DEM when zooming out, here is a Worldwide Autoroute V5.01 Basemap with the DEM removed:
    Spoiler: Click
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [If link goes dead please use 'Report Post' button [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] below]

    It's extracted size is 18.9 MiB.

    If you intend trying to use this non-DEM basemap in an older 'region only' device without Mass Storage Mode, you'll need to dump region 3 [0x03h] to check it's size first. For instance SP 2xx0 devices have only 16 MiB available in rgn3 so cannot accommodate this bmap. Smaller World non-DEM basemaps and flashing instructions for old devices are available here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
