For example last version of Freizeitkarte Belgium:
    - gmap version has typ file: 6056.TYP
    - gmapsupp.img version has typ file: 00006056 TYP
    - Windows-installer: standard installation with 6056.TYP, but also with typ-files: small, outdoorl, outdoorc, outdoor, freizeit and contrast. See also:

When you want to change the typ-file You have the install version with al the different TYP-files or you download the different TYP-files from the Freizeitkarte-site. When you download the ReplaceTYP.zip from Freizeitkarte (in your language) you also get the different TYP-files and installation files. And can change the TYP-file with the tools in the zipfile. Use ReplaceTYP.cmd (it use Gmaptool=gmt.exe !). But you also can use the methods Mapperoni mentioned when you have the single TYP-files.

Both maps are routable. They seem to contain very similar information, but I find the mapping of the Freizeitkarte clearer than that of the Openfietsmap.

They are free, so I hope that posting links here is OK.
    Hi
It seeems that Topolusitania team is mapping for the openstreetmap project. That could explain why for the time being no new Topolusitania version is available.

In Topolusitania blog there is a warning for some big errors that the Contour Lines from SRTM have in Madeira Island, creating summits higher than Pico do Areeiro

TopoLusitania v0.97 has a problem with elevation labels on the height contours, most are correct in meters but many are wrong because of an error of the map creators. There are also errors in some Elevation Spot's labels.

sherco40 was very kind to modify those incorrect map tiles, so that the whole map now is in "correct" meters!!!
    (sherco40, can't thank you enough!!!)

New corrected version of TopoLusitania v0.97 including the official typ TLQ_v97.typ from topolusitania.blogspot (you can see it in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])

Use this installation to create a partial .img file to send to your devices (mapID 514 as the official)
Copy folder "TopoLusitania_v097_Mapsource" on your PC and run "install_TopoLusitania v097.bat"

3D version PC installation folder for viewing the map "3D" in Basecamp and "shaded relief" in Mapsource
Do NOT use this installation to create a partial .img file for your devices.
Copy folder "TopoLusitania v097 3D" and run "install.bat"
You can have BOTH installations on your PC, this map has mapID 513 and the 3D is from Garmin's Europe DEM

    @ Ed_slv
I didn't find any irregularities with the height contours in Madeira. The last contours before the 3 higher peaks in Madeira are at 1700m, 1725m and 1725m. I didn't find any higher contours or peaks.

    Helllo

TopoLusitania Team can be reached at an yahoo e-mail address . I will inform them about your work. Can they use these corrected IMG in their blog?

@X-trail - Topolusitania Madeira DEM used ASTER data. The first release of this data has height errors in several points of Madeira, creating several peaks higher then Pico do Areeiro. I was talking about this map and not about other DEM data origin.
