In post #1 it says: torrent file from demonoid attached and in the torrent file (Mexico included), but I can't find any torrent link to the MapSource version. Am I overlooking something?

    I need help please!
I have installed the US CN 2011.20. Firstly it updated my older Mapsource version and in the process locked all my previously unlocked maps! Typical Garmin because the old format (.unl) saved keys cannot be imported into Mapsource 6.16.2 which only imports .ucx files. Anyway I manually unlocked them again one by one but cannot unlock the new USA CN 2011.20 and Mapsouce says the maps is not installed/unauthenticated. I have unlocked the maps for downloading using the Jetmouse keygen but the Mapsource code does not work. I have tried various version of the keygen generator but nothing seems to work. I have used both FID 2265 and 2266 to no avail.

Also the JapanRoadNavi25000 is still locked with the message "unauthenticated" - any idea how I can get around this hurdle - it was unlocked in the older version of Mapsource using the same unlock code.

Any positive suggestions from you folks will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Garmin GMA protection and the "Unauthenticated" status

Upgrading MapSource to a the latest Garmin original version will NOT remove any of your unlock keys. The problem is that all maps having a MapID >= 2200 will get the "Unauthenticated" status. That status means that they are unlocked correctly but lacks the new GMA digital certificate to authenticate your installation as a genuine licensed map installation.
The solution is to use the patched versions of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and also [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Using the patched versions of MapSource and/or BaseCamp will solve the "Unauthenticated" problem on your PC. The GPS might still need the GMA file for that unique unit if the GMA technology is implemented in the newer firmwares. The solution is to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] from your map completely with one of the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

All unlock codes are stored in the Windows registry under the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Garmin\MapSource\Codes". It's easy to manually backup the registry key to a REG-file and use it later or in other accounts on the same computer. Unlock keys are just saved for the current user account, not for all users.

OK - patch installed and working as advertized. But it certainly did appear that the original unlock codes were removed because the maps were all showing LOCKED. Never mind, all is well again. A bit silly of Garmin not to make the saved unlock key file importable into the new version though!

    Hi,
I am a little confused by the number of different files.
I need to get the 2011 CN North America (don't need Canada or Mexico) for Mapsource on my computer; then I send the maps I need to my Garmin 376.
The GPS 376 file system is not visible from the computer, so I cannot install anyhting directly on it, and I use Mapsource a lot for trip planning anyways.

Short form: Which files (torrent) should I get to install CN NA 2011 in Mapsource; I understand I will have to patch Mapsource.

    Thanks. Great site BTW !!!

Why can't you download map or upload it to your device ? You need to give us more information.
