    ROUTE OVERVIEW

    Manali - Leh

    The classic Himalayan ride. 475km of mountains, glaciers and 5,000m passes - all you'd expect from the second highest road in the world. Begins in Himachal Pradesh, ends in the ancient mountain kingdom of Ladakh - threshold of Tibet, China and Central Asia. Takes 8-10 days. With optional side routes to Pangong Tso, Nubra Valley, Tso Moriri and Tso Kar.

    Spiti & Kinnaur

    Even more remote than the Manali-Leh Highway, the valleys of Spiti and Lahaul have only recently opened up to foreigners. This 1,000km loop starts in Manali, heads east to Tibet then loops west again along the old Hindustan-Tibet Highway. Plenty of side valleys and rock hopping to keep you amused. Takes up to 4 weeks.

    Leh - Khardung La

    The highest road pass in the world at an extraordinary 5,602m. India would have you believe this is the highest road in the world, although Bolivia might disagree. Khardung La is the pass from the Indus Valley to the lush Nubra Valley, and from it you can see over the Karakoram range, home of K2. Takes 1 day.

    Leh - Srinagar

    Once rivalling Manali - Leh as the classic ride of the Indian Himalaya. Excellent tarmac surface passing through a stunning landscape of pea-green glacial rivers, crumpled mountain sides the texture of a rhino hide and the wonderful gompas of Lamayuru, Alchi, Likkir and Basgo.

    Friendship Highway

    Starting in Lhasa and finishing in Kathmandu, two of the most exotic sounding cities in the Himalaya, this long ride rarely drops below 4000m, making it the highest route in the book.

    After generating unlock map code and use in Mapsource --> Utilities -->Manage Map Products --> Unlock Regions,
    status change from 'Locked' to 'Unauthenticated' and the map remains locked.

    How do I proceed from here?

    @ctkhaw

    MapID=5036 PID=25
    Maps with MapID >= 2200 are affected by the Garmin GMA digital certificate authentication.
    Use the patched versions of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    If the map is "Unauthenticated" in the GPS by GMA aware firmware then you also need one of the unlocker solutions.

    FALSE ALARM!
    All links are online and working. Megaupload links might be "Temporarily unavailable" for free download at peak usage hours. There's several mirrors in the Multiupload link and all is active.

    Please learn how to parse the message "Temporarily unavailable". It should be self-explanatory that temporarily is NOT forever and ever.
    It's rather time consuming and boring to check all these hoax alerts with false claims and requests for new links. Please be 100% sure before reporting links as broken.
    Also check ALL alternative mirror links that's posted if you need to download the provided content!

    Hi catymag,i have an Oregon 550,and have loaded India 2010.30(Final) and this Himalayan map,the problem is when i load this Himalyan Map individualy it is being read by the device , but whn i combine it with gmaptool or load it ALONG with CNNT India 2010.30 the device does not read this Himalayan map.My Oregon has the latest updated firmware which lets it read any no of maps as long they end with .img in the end.
    I modfied this Map to gmapprom.img and put it on the internal memory of the Oregon but no luck.
    All the maps have been UNLOCKED using the Fast img unlocker.
    Other maps behave ok
    Your ESTEEmed Technical advice Please . . . ....

    A part of Himalaya is located in India,the problem seems the two maps are covering somehow the same area, in some cases boundaries are involved in this problem too-
    Then should be better to have unlocked imgs just in sd, in Oregon you can use anyname.img ,as you said ,so no need to merge them, select just the one you use in your receiver-
