Licence is in gps, but you must activate it connecting it to the TMC
    from Garmin FAQ:
To activate the free Lifetime NAVTEQ traffic subscription that came with your Garmin unit, please perform the following steps:
    perform the following steps:

1.Plug the GTM 20/GTM 25/GTM 35/Vehicle power cable into the vehicle and then into the GPS device or cradle*
2.Power your GPS device on and allow it to acquire a satellite signal
3.Touch View Map from the Main Menu on your GPS device
4.Allow the device time to receive a FM traffic signal (this may take a few minutes within a NAVTEQ traffic coverage area)
The following along with additional information concerning your traffic receiver can be found in the Owner's Manual of your device:

When you are receiving traffic information, a traffic icon appears on the map. The traffic icon changes color to indicate the severity of traffic conditions.

i've got 4 questions about the Garmin Nuvi 1200T...

    (1) is it identical to the Garmin Nuvi 1200, but just comes with the additional traffic receiver accesory? or is there something different internally also?
    (2) are there many unlocked & downloadable city xplorer maps available? i specifically need munich pedestrian routes but could only see paris and rome on this forum.
    (3) is this device "GMA-aware"? what would that prevent me from doing?
    (4) can this device support lane-assist? it doesnt have it by default but can it somehow be enabled in the software?

    thanks.

    Hello users!

I brought my wife a nuvi 1490 TV for christmas and...I want to add maps.
    I have a 8GB sd card formated as FAT32.
What I want to know is what name do I have to give the "FOLDER" on the card.
I have a Garmin dakota 20 with mulipule maps on the card, that works fine with just using "Garmin" as the folder name.
But the Nüvi isnt that simple,or is it?
I took me a bit of reasearch just to find the ("System" folder, which is a hidden system folder) where the maps are installed on the internal memory.
I need a tutorial to learn how to add maps to the sd card.

    Thanks redplanet12345

depends on devices and maps : if you have a new firmware and the map has FID > 2200 , .unl wont work.
    you should use an unlocker

Further clarification, please. Does it capture date & time per trail point.
Is that available in a file saved to an SD?
