    Default Garmin Zumo 550 problem

    071543e68e093f23bdf0ad6ba8b68d40

A Picture is better then a 1000 words.

This is happening to someone in a local forum, any idea what is going on ?

    - He has full gps signal
    - All ready tried a Hard reset and that didn't solve it.
    - The latest map for his region is installed.

    Thanks

That can happen if the 'lock to road' feature is disabled by selecting 'Off Road' (Tools [Wrench symbol] > Navigation > Route Preferences > Off Road). However as he's done a hard reset that setting should have been returned to 'Faster Time' by default which enables lock to road. Does he have a basemap loaded?

    Thanks Neil,

I will ask him that and report back !

It could be a while as he is on a Camper Trip and doesn't have internet all the time.

He replied and said the settings as it should be "Faster time" and he had the maps checked with JavaWa and they all checked out.

    Any other suggestions ?

Edit: He only has 1 map in his device and that is the Europe 2017.10 Map

As Neil wrote, be sure OFF ROAD is not enabled.

    He replied back.

Already done a Hard reset, and he started playing with the device, changed the type of vehicle turned it off and on again, and it worked again. So problem solved.

Thanks Neil and Catymag for the help and the suggestions !
