GARMIN NUVI 52 LM change location for updates

So , I bought a nuvi 52 LM on E bay from G. Britain and it has preinstall western Europe maps . When I start maps update its update only W.Europe . problem is that I live in Croatia and I need maps for south or east Europe .

you need to patch firmware which will remove new protection and than you can use any unlocked map..

It's not necessary to patch the firmware of the nuvi 52, it does not contain MSV.

Sure, just copy/paste unlocked img. If you get the message that the maps cannot be unlocked or that are "damaged" than you also have to patch the sw...this is yet another story which unfortunately cannot be discussed here on this forum (forum policy regarding Garmin topics).

- Yes for a nuvi 52, you will need to use an SD card.
- Not for a Drive 52

Obviously you can purchase them from Garmin directly
