    Unhappy Nuvi 2460

Nuvi 2460, after updating the map through "garmin express", it doesnt show the map. It only shows blank white screen and an arrow. Finds GPS normally, but doesnt draw the map. I tried to get an unlocked map on SD card, does the same thing. What do I do?

Did you hard-reset it? If not, do that now: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Better still, clear nonvolatile memory: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Back up your favourites first if you wish to restore them later because either will clear all user data.

If that doesn't help, post with more detail such as whether your map is showing in .System folder as gmapprom.img when connected to PC in Mass Storage Mode, and also if it's showing and is checked enabled in Tools>Settings>MyMaps. Usually you can at least see the basic basemap info on the map screen even if there are no detail maps on the unit. Look for the Basemap info in Tools>Settings>System>About too, or in .System folder in MSM for gmapbmap.img.

AMR Autoroute Basemap NR 2.00 is an old regional basemap specifically for the Americas. You should replace it with this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The basemap is stored in .System, named gmapbmap.img.

Do you get any message 'pop-up' when you boot the unit regarding the detail map? Have you got more than one detail map covering the same area on the unit? Do you have old .gma and/or .unl files belonging to earlier map version/s still on the unit?

I agree with Neil, your basemap doesn't show up.
Try to deselect your City Navigator and see if basemap shows up, if you don't see it, replace it with the one linked by Neil in his post above.
To replace it you must be able [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
