    Hurrayyy!!! It finally worked! I can see streets now! The final trick appeared to renaming my SD Card "Garmin" and creating a "Garmin" folder.
    Thank you Catymag, Neil and Philipych for your assistance! I couldn't have done this without you!

    If the unit is bought new from the US with US maps, and I can see the names of the cities in the Middle East area without the roads, then I guess yes, it must be a world map.
