    Default Honda Goldwing Navi

    Greetings,

I own a 2012 Honda Goldwing with Garmin based navi built in. It is currently 2011 maps.

I also own a Zumo 660 with Lifetime maps and have the gmapprom.img file for 2016.20. This is locked of course.

Looking at the current files on board my Honda Goldwing I see the following:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

My intent is to create an identical copy of my original SD card and shelf the original and use the new SD card. I assume I need an unlocker app for the Zumo img file.

Where I am confused is are there other files I need to concern myself with? I have read so much here my head is spinning.

    Thanks in advance!
    C-Max

Do this to test the map: Copy only your zumo's gmapprom.img file onto a clean SD card in a Garmin folder and re-name it gmapsupp.img only [x:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img]. Run [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] on gmapsupp.img to unlock it directly on the card.

As with unlocked maps on CF card for 2006-2008 GWs you may find search by POI is disabled. I've no experience with the later model Navi units with SD card though sorry.
