I recently bought an Oregon 650 and have used it on some hikes in the mountains. I've taken a number of pictures, and I'm very impressed with the quality at 5MP. However, I must say that the great picture quality can be attributable to luck and not to my photography skills. My problem is that I find it very difficult to frame a shot if I'm in any bright light. In capturing scenery, I really can't see the horizon at all, so it's mostly point and click. I can see much better if I get behind a tree and stay entirely shaded. Maybe I just have to adapt, but perhaps someone has a suggestion on a setting that I'm overlooking. I keep the screen backlight at an average setting, and I realize that it's just a small screen. Thanks.
