Default Problem installing 2016.10 on 885t

    Hi All.

I've got a Nuvi 885t that has CNNA 2015.30 on it and I want to load CNNA 2016.10 on it.

Which "other" files do I need to copy and place on the 885t in order to work with and be compatible with the new map?

Do I need to replace the JCV file (if so, what if the file name I need for 2016.10).

    Any other files needed ?

    Thanks !

Default Problem installing 2016.10 on 885t

I am having a hard time trying to use MapUpdater to install CNNA 2016.10 on my 885t.

I deleted the old img for 2015.30 and system shows I have 2.65 GB of FREE space on the Nuvi 885t. But when using Mapupdater, I get an error message that there is not enough space on the nuvi to load all coverage, only the lower 49 States.

But if I try to install the lower 49 states, I get a message that my device supports voice commands, but the selected region does not support voice commands, and it instructs me to load the Entire US and Canada.

    It's an endless loop.

So... what do I do ? Can I load the lower 48 and hope the voice command works properly?

    Thanks.

Voice commands don't work if you don't have the whole CNA installed in nuvi

2.65 gb is not enough for the entire map with its addition files.
    Mapupdater gives you correct info.
A sd is a solution. A 4 gb micro sd is cheap now.

Next time please post in existing CNA thread and all in one post.

    Catymag,

I've got an 8GB Micro SD card in the device.

But I found some info from Garmin that I can't force the map install on the SD card on the Nuvi 800 series like you can on some of the newer models. Maybe that has changed.

I may be stuck with loading all the other files one by one.

Insert it when it says there is no space in nuvi

    Sd must be formatted Fat32.

SD card is formatted to FAT32. I tried inserting it when I got the message "Not enough Space", but when I clicked "OK" I still could not proceed.

Weird, try this: create a Garmin folder in sd, copy in it nuvi's garmin device.xml.
Insert that sd in your pc and try to run Mapupdater.
