Default Newbie with Garmin eTrex 20.. help please

    Hi all,
I just bought a eTrex 20 thinking it would have decent maps (OS type) only to discover horrible base maps without much details.
I'd like to download some maps from the forum but I'm pretty confused about what to get and how to install anything. All I need are maps of southern england and wales.
Can anyone offer any suggestions please - I just assumed that these devices would have decent maps out of the box and now realise that I was a bit naive!

Thanks for that. I'm making my way through that slowly but In the meantime, do I look for "locked" or "unlocked" maps to download?

This is what you want, being the OS map.
