help Please. GpsMap 78sc Decompile/Split original default gmapprom.img to MapSource

Just bought a new 78sc. I would like to use it for both land and marine nav. I would prefer to keep a small main img with just world map and basic features while enable/disable more specific maps on the SD. As it is the default gmapprom.img is 2GB. I unlocked gmapprom.img with unlocker ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) and split file using GMapTool using dummy FID/PID 1/1. Map shows in all applications after running install.bat. MapSource, BaseCamp and HomePort all crash when I select this map. Any idea what I am doing wrong? How can I extract/remove advanced map features from default gmapprom.img? Windows 8.1 x64

If you gmapprom.img is mapset with unique FID there is no way to change anything in GMapTool.
You can split whole map with this program and when use MapSource, BaseCamp and HomePort (two later via mapinstall) to saving a certain maps in file. But if you have loaded more the one such files all of it will be enable/disable simultaneous.
    Which map do you use?

Details on GMapTool show "F: PID 0, FID 0, HUS999I". Coincidentally, the map HUS999I acquired from ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) also crashes MapSource and an error is displayed selecting that map in HomePort. DL map not listed in BaseCamp. What is special about this map that it cannot be split correctly and used in BC or MS? I have attached the Detail logs from GMapTool for each file. They are very similar but not exact. Should I just assume the 78sc file is Marine Detail map with no extras? The file size of the 78sc img file is exactly 1,941,952, so I suppose it is safe to assume same as Marine Detail map.
