Thread: File location for custom POI

I am trying to find out the file name and location for where personal POIs (waypoints) are stored. I guess there is a single file that holds all the favourites, waypoints etc and is updated everytime a waypoint is added, transferred or modified?

I'm guessing <<Nuvi/.System/SQLite/local_poi.db>> but also read on the forum
that <<Nuvi/GPX/Current.gpx>> was the file to use to copy favourites between units.

i would like to know which file to use for back-up and restore purposes if I wanted a record of my favourites (POIs) at and point in time.

Also has anyone ever given an insight into what all the various files/directories on the Nuvi relate to?
