Default Lost "voice Control", bluetooth and traffic on 3790t after updating maps using Garmin Express

A few days ago I updated my maps using Garmin Express but since then I have lost my "Voice Control" functionality. The "Voice Control" option has completely disappeared from my menus - even from the Help files. I have also lost bluetooth functionality and Traffic functionality - the icons have all disappeared. One other thing... the model number displayed on start-up and in the "About" section is "Nuvi 37xx" instead of "Nuvi 3790"...

I have contacted Garmin but they only suggest re-installing the maps again which I have done but the problem remains. I think my firmware has been corrupted. Does anybody have a solution??

    Thanks in advance!

Your device has "lost" its model number (xx90) and all the extra features (I think that you are not seeing 3D terrain anymore).
What you have now is the "base" model (ie 3750)
In order to restore your model number and its functionality back to model 90 you should have done a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

The repair worked perfectly, Catymag. I will keep a copy of the backup files in case Garmin's updater "downgrades" my 3970 next time I update the map
Thank you very much for your help !!

Thread marked 'Solved'. Any member with similar 37xx model loss problem please proceed via PM as advised in linked thread catymag's Post #2 above rather than post here. Thanks.
