    Hi,
as it seems, there is a newer version of evoplus_cid
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
where the bug with the longer CID (output only) was corrected.
Furthermore, the checksum will only be calculated if 30 digits are used. If you use 32 digits, it will be written as entered...

Well, you might not do anything wrong at all.
Maybe your device is not compatible.

Here is one way to do it with an rooted android device. (there are many other ways)

#1 copy evoplus_cid to your sd card
    open a terminal

Please note everything within {} is a comment and NOT part of the command
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
This was performed on my old S4, device names might vary.
There are android devices that are incompatible, eg. I had no success with my Kindle fire 5th genration.

Of courese this also works on Linux.(of course you need to compile it and your reader needs to be compatible)

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for your instructions, I tried them but got stuck after the command chmod +x. I get the error "Bad mode". I rooted now also my galaxy tab 4 but got stucked at the same command. I don't know what I have done wrong, I ignored the error with both devices, run the program but with the latest version it still says something now with "the CID is not long enough".
I will try it later maybe with a S4.

    Try
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
on the directory containing evoplus_cid instead of chmod +x

Now I get the error: can't execute: Permission denied?
    Strange

EDIT: I could execute after the command "chmod 777 /data/data/evoplus_cid"
But I got again the error from the beginning: "Failed to enter vendor mode. Genuine Samsung Evo Plus?"

Now I'm gonna try it tomorrow with another card and on sunday with a S4, lets see, thanks anyway!

EDIT2: It worked! I tried it with the tab 4, and it successfully wrote the new CID! Gonna try the sd tomorrow

I rooted a Huawei Y360 and executed the evoplus_cid against both a 32 GB and a 64 GB Evo plus microsd cards. In both cases I got the response:

"Success! Remove and reinsert SD card to check new CID."

After powering off and on the smartphone or even after re-insertion of the microsd cards I still see the old CID.

I bought both microsd cards from BestBuy retail store so I am 100% sure these are original Samsung. However, I ran the Android App "SD Tools" and it told me both microsd cards had a date of 05/2016. I suspected that maybe newer batches can't support changing their CID so I have ordered 2 more from bhphotovideo.com and adorama.com hoping I might get older manufactured revisions. However, I also suspect maybe not all smartphone can actually write to the evo plus. We know the Samsung S4 can but not sure what other specific devices will succeed.

@emilgram, I had success with Sony Xperia Tablet Z with Android 5 (Lollipop)...
Not sure if not each device can handle evoplus_cid. But I guess it is a problem with the batches (older vs. newer ones)...
I ordered mine - as described SOME PAGES AGO - on amazon...

There is two kind of packaging... one is a "frustrating" and one is a "non frustrating" (paper case) with original samsung hologram on it... The non frustrating card worked for me.

Did someone clone a virgin card and used multiple clones in multiple cars yet? Does the Download manager works with multiple cards with different VIN's?

As stated earlier I am successfully using a "married" clone in my car.

Waiting for Samsung Evo+ to be delivered to check the questions above. Nothing worked with my old "Transcend" cards.
