    @Uetzwurschd
    At least used card will be enough for the beginning, if it's not difficult for you.

    I think you are going the wrong direction. The car doesn't know is the CID correct or not in plugged-in card. It only compares the symbols in hardware and software. So it easier to change the software. That is where we should look for decision!

    Hi,
    just tried to change the CID to a bit different from original sd card.
    After the change (also changed the garmindevices.xml to new values; ID and CID) the download manager of Mercedes says that the card was not accepted as a valid sd card by the registration server.
    So, it seems that CID and/or serial are tested by Mercedes/Garmin...

    That means, that only patching the software helps finding a solution for the problem...

    As I used the same CID for two different cards (16 GB/32GB) it seems that I locked out myself...

    Any help appreciated...

    Did you change the garmindevices.xml values also yourself?

    @Kiddhyper...
    I'll try... But I don't think that it will work as this ID is a subset of CID... This would cause the CID not to match :-(
    There must be something else to play around.
    Bye

    I am uploading a new virgin card, but it is for North America (SD Card Garmin Map Pilot 2015 North America v4.2 (Map 4.0) for Mercedes-Benz (Audio 20 CD)). This one hasn't been used, but it will be good for testing and playing around. If you get this one to work, then the EU maps, wont be any different getting to work.

    The files will only be available for 7 days after I upload them. Right now it is going to take around 3 hours to upload a 10Gb image. The image was taken with HDDRawCopy1.10Portable.exe software, so you can use that to build your SD card with.

    *Will update the post with a link to the download, once it is finished.
