    Default USB Transfer speed <1MB/s

I wonder is this normal to have write speed of less than 1MB/s to either internal memory or microsd when connected trough device USB cable.

When i use my sdcard with reader i get around 3MB/s writing speed

No, 62 series probably use USB 2.
The good thing is that you don't load maps so often so you can live with taking out the card.

All Garmin unit have limit for a USB transfer rate based on electronic component of the device. Partly it is given in SW. Oldies remember SW for Nuvi 3790 with transfer rate to SD on 50Kb/s!!!
So it is normally. All developer program may to set this limit to avoid of data losses.
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
