    Welcome to GPS Power.

Unlock the map with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and patch the firmware of the nvi 65LM as described here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
To avoid clutter, please don't leave any "Thank You" posts but use the Xlosbkb button or the LIKE this post ↑ link instead
(found at the lower left hand side of any post)
To see hidden download links, use the same LIKE this post ↑ link and hit F5 on the keyboard to refresh the page.
Report broken download links by using the ADYp6au button at the lower left hand corner of that post.

Not necessarily patch this firmware for the City Navigator Thailand map, unlocking the map will be enough ...

So, I'm new to this so it's not that clear to me. I have a Nuvi 57LM with North American maps and I downloaded an unlocked European map and put it on the Microsd. Garmin says "Cannot unlock map". My SWVS is 440. Do I need to patch the firmware?

    Have you read the legend?
    Legend:
MSV: Weak - it verifies the validity of map signatures in a simple way,
you can unlock an .img using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (without patching your firmware) but in case of unicode maps (CP 65001) you must modify the CP value.
So or you change the codepage or you patch the firmware. Read and post in Patcher thread if you need more info, but read post #1 and 2 carefully before posting, all the needed info are posted.
