help Garmin XT - Windows CE6

    Hey guy,

I've been having an issue; basically I have a navigational system, it runs windows CE6 I'm not sure of the name, It was a Chinese brand. But anyway, I installed Garmin XT 5.00.30w on an SD card, it opens up and runs but it brings me to the '(Purchase & Go!, Begin Free Trial, Enter Product Key and Connect to a Garmin GPS)' screen, in order for me to unlock it I need the unit ID. I've read around and I concluded that I'm supposed to click "Connect to a Garmin GPS" and skip anything that pops up, my issue is that it the device freezes when I press that. All the other options work except for that, basically the text turns yellow indicating that it has been selected, then it freezes.

Is there anyway that this can be fixed? Or a way around to getting the unit ID without actually going into the Garmin > Tools > About etc.?
I've done this before on another unit running CE5 with the older Garmin XT and didn't face this issue.
All help is appreicated, thank-you in advance.

    Best regards,
    Aaron

    Thanks for the reply @catymag

I was actually following that guide, and seeing as the GPS is built into the dash and that tutorial is for Symbian OS, I followed it from step 3. When I try to click the "Connect to a Garmin" thing, it freezes up and I have to restart the system.

I think it says "Storage Card" when put into the GPS. Is that important?

Would you have it for 'StorageCard' just incase? also does this have to do with the brand of the SD card?
