    Default nüvi 2597LM map names and sd card support for maps

    Hello, does anybody have an experience with this product? I am looking for information, what kind of map (.img) names are supported for this device? Does the SD card at this device supports the usage of maps and if yes, then what should be the configuration?

    For today I have got working the map name gmapprom1.img.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi, that model of nuvì have no limitation in naming the Maps ...
    Either in internal memory or in SD, folder \Map, you can put any number of Maps, named <asyoulike>.img ... All will be shown.

    @i70
    Best to start in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and just work your way down. There are existing threads here which will give you all the basic info without opening a new one. It's impossible to keep giving detailed individual tuts for basic stuff, so just post in the existing threads if you need help after reading them through.

    PS: FireFox58 is correct, this thread was in the wrong place so I've moved it from the maps section to discussions. Where you posted is for map posts etc.
