Default Garmin nuvi 2555LMT - GPX Backup

    I have Garmin 2555LMT
i tried to backup my Saved Coordinates via GPX folder file named current.gpx

Then i opened it using EasyGPS and i can see the favorites
but when i modify it and place it back to the same folder
i cannot see any favorites in GPS
Is there any other software i can use to backup and restore favorites

When you copy it back name it current1.gpx or temp.gpx

The nuvi will then import the gpx into your favourites.
Overwriting current.gpx will not work as this file is automatically created by the nuvi at boot time based on favourites in nvram.

After first boot you can delete the file or just leave it there. If you leave it behind you will have favourites after hard reset.

GPX uses an xml scheme. Different people make different schemes. EasyGPS might make a gpx scheme which is not recognized by the nuvis. Better edit the gpx with Basecamp or Mapsource.

Or you can edit your Favorites with Extra Poi Editor.
Just make sure the output .gpx file is encoded in UTF-8 (Options>Preferences>GPX Output>Encoding)
