Have you tried to do the map update again ?
It looks like your map update failed first time around.
Which software did you use for the map update ?
Did you get an error during the update ?
Latest software is Garmin Express 2.3.12.0
or you can use GarminMapUpdater.exe version 3.2.2 (probably the most reliable method)
I can only suggest that you try to update again to see what happens, Usually update is reliable.

For a start, enable folder options in Windows to show known files types. In Windows: Control Panel>Folder Options>View>Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'. While there uncheck 'Hide Protecting Operating System Files(Recommended)'. More info here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

The zero content file in the Garmin folder is gmappupdate.gsd which is associated with the JCV file, the files in the Map folder are gmapupdate.gma [3KB] the GMA file for the map, gmapupdate.img [1756128KB] being the NA map itself, and gmapupdate.unl [1KB] the map unlock code.

All your files are correct. Remove the mircoSD from the unit, backup your favourites, hard reset it or clear NV, turn it off, re-insert the card then reboot the unit and it should show the map. If it doesn't check the format of the card, try a reformat [FAT32] then re-download the map or try the files on another card.

    Thank you very much Neil

Do you think 16Gb micro SD is out of limit, I read and see that Micro SD for nuvi' limit is 8Gb, I think mine is 16 so Nuvu can not read the SD card, but it can installed on it. It late to go to buy the 8GB, tomorrow I will try again

Thank you for your files explications

No it's not too big. The real reason Garmin suggests certain limits for cards in nuvis is because having a lot of mapping data to load on start-up makes the boot time quite long and also there are limits as to the amount of map tiles [mapping segments] and indeed number of individual FID map image files which a unit can see. So using a very big card becomes quite pointless. I've used everything from 1GB microSD to 32GB mircoSDHC in 1xxx series without problem, and also a 64GB mircoSDXC reformatted to FAT32 but the big cards are just overkill.

Garmin devices can sometimes not see certain brands of cards, but it's really very rare. They only recommend Sandisk & Kingston for that reason, but most any card will work. Did you try hard reset/clear NV as i suggested?
