Default how to use the Unlock BlueChart g2 & g2 Vision Maps correctly & transfer it to SD card

Post from Catymag ( thread 193)

I have some questions to this thread since the gimgunglock did not worked our for me.
I hope this time Catymag is not closing my post, sind I am spending some effort to explain my problem. could be that other rookies have the same questions than I have?

Unlocking an IMG and creating the unl file

    read with care this
Unlocking an IMG and creating the unl file

Rename the map as gmapsupp.img and unlock it with jetmouse keygen ,creating the unl file with notepad
JetMouse Garmin Keygen v1.5 with Checksum Fix

On jetmouse keygen v1.5 put either the 10 digit gps unit id number (will be unlocked only in your gps)or the sd serial # (it will be unlocked in any gps you put the sd card
under-select map product --on the bottom ---custom map set---add the maps FID# also called mapid #
Click generate on the bottom-all those numbers will unlock the map--copy that 25 digit number into the gmapsupp.unl file --- don't add any enter --just 25 digits on the first line ----
on a sd card create a garmin directory--in that directory copy your gmapsupp.unl file (unlock file) and the gmapsupp.img
When you save the .UNL file in Notepad, be sure you set the "Save as type" to "All Files", not "Text Documents".
If you have more than a map ,the map name must be changed read

    Ok here what i did.
I registered my Garmin 440SX and got the Unit Id. ( Thank you Roger1109 & Voager56 for your help)

    let say it is "5891250089"

So I stick it into jetmouse 1.5

In paraelle I have downloaded HXEU718L from the chart side. The three rarfiles to get the IMG
The Map id is 2530. This value and the PID I add into jetmouse. RgnID: 0 & VenID:0 Is that correct?

Then I take the created key "MZA9ENDGN2UGKG32G74U4ZALR" this is an fake and ad it to notepad.

I using the same name as the image & copy everything on SD under the folder Garmin.

Check the img in GmapTool and you'll see if it is unlocked

You probably renamed it wrong (gmapsupp.img.img) or you put in wrong place, for example in sd root and not in Garmin folder.
I close threads when we already have threads concerning the same matter. No need to create new ones.
We'd like to have some kind of order in this forum.
