    Question Nuvi 3790T LCD panel

I need to replace LCD panel on my Nuvi 3790.
I would expect that the same LCD module is used for 37xx & 34xx models, but this site

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    lists 2 different LCD panels for 3790(T) and 3790LMT, 3760LMT, 3750LMT.

Other site sells the same panel for different 37xx systems:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Can anyone comment on that or has an experience in replacing LCD by himself?
    Thanks.

More than 100 thousands of quality merchandises and big brand name products are available here at wholesale price.

It is mean that it is wholesale place and there is a proposals of "pig in a poke" from two different suppliers. Name of goods is from supplier or is on the conscience of the operator (site editor as person).

I'd expect the same price for the same product even if it's from diferent suppliers. But my main question was if these 37x LCD panels are compatible.

Usually on such wholesale place a supplier have different condition by own will or the will of site owners. So price is different!

On the main question: there is no difference between 3790(T) and 3790LMT!!! Please ask for this seller why he wrote so as you can see!

Garmin uses at times more than 1 lcd and or digitizer for the SAME product......they are NOT compatible with each other....

I repair lcd and touch screens all the time

My best advice to you ( or others ) is to remove the screen from your unit and compare it to the one you are going to purchase

Even the connectors on the motherboards are different on the same models ( and I don't mean 3790T or 3790LM......I mean the SAME model )

I have not had any experience with 3790 screen yet so I cannot verify if there is more than 1 screen and digitizer used.....take it out first and check first to be safe.....

All good advice generally and totally correct. Same 'model' but screens and even pcb can be different. I have an open 260 before me at the moment with a screen i've never seen before and with totally different connections to the mo.

As far as i know though, 37xx range all have the same. The difference in price doesn't mean a different product and the 3 examples in post #1 (even with $20 price variation from same supplier), and in the ebay link from Caty's post, are probably exactly the same product. The images appear identical, but the only way to be sure is to do as Caty said and check with Garmin, or do as TC111 said, take it out and check it first against what you are buying.

Finally got LCD panel delivered from China. It turned out to be the same type as in my 3790T, but when trying to connect flexible cable the connector got broken. Now I have a new LCD panel and motherboard with broken socket. Not sure if it can be fixed in a service centre but when I previously contacted them they replied that didn't have any LCD panels for replacement.
